Abstract The biology and ecology of the predatory coccinellid Rhyzobius chrysomeloides was studied in Liguria, Italy, in in Pinus pinaster forests infested with Matsucoccus feytaudi. Notes are given on the geographic distribution of the predator and collection data for Liguria. The morphology of the different life stages is described.
